Dear Friend,

Here is a brief update on my activity in Washington, D.C. this past week.

I delivered opening remarks at the American Conservative Magazine's conference on foreign policy to talk about wasteful foreign aid spending, mandatory country-of-origin labeling for food, and Congress's responsibility to debate and vote on authorizations for use of military force. I think there is space in the Republican Party for congressmen who do not want our country to intervene in everybody's business around the world or get involved in places where we do not have clear national interests. In fact, I think all fiscal conservatives should claim this space.
